Blue Health Vision: Entering a New Chapter Under New Leadership
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Blue Health Vision is entering a new phase of growth under the leadership of its new CEO, Hans den Bieman. With more than 30 years of global experience in aquaculture, including executive roles at Nutreco and Marine Harvest, Hans brings deep industry knowledge and a strong track record in scaling high-performance aquaculture operations. His appointment marks an important step in accelerating Blue Health Vision’s development and expanding its impact across the sector.

Blue Health Vision is part of a Dutch health consortium focused on applying a unique molecular technology to improve health and performance across animals, humans, and plants. At the core of this innovation is QQ2, a molecule originally developed within Animal Health Vision (AHV), where it demonstrated a significant ability to improve longevity in livestock, reduce reliance on antibiotics, and enhance overall health.
The effectiveness of QQ2 lies in its interaction with strongly conserved biochemical mechanisms, supporting the natural biological balance of the organism. Rather than addressing individual symptoms, this approach strengthens the animal’s ability to cope with stress and maintain optimal function.
Recognizing the potential of this mechanism beyond livestock, initial aquaculture activities were introduced under AHV’s Aqua portfolio. As the opportunity expanded and early results confirmed strong potential in aquatic species, this evolved into Blue Health Vision, a dedicated platform focused on aquaculture.
Blue Health Vision’s solutions are designed to improve the welfare and resilience of aquatic animals throughout their production cycles. By supporting the immune system and maintaining biological balance, the technology helps ensure that energy is directed toward growth and performance instead of being lost to stress responses. This is particularly relevant in modern aquaculture, where producers face increasing biological pressure, regulatory constraints, and the need for more sustainable production practices.
To validate its market potential, Blue Health Vision launched commercially in Chile and Brazil. In both markets, the solutions achieved strong adoption, delivered measurable production benefits, and generated repeat purchases, demonstrating clear value for producers.
Building on this success, Blue Health Vision is expanding into new regions and preparing entry into high-value, high-growth aquaculture markets. With a scalable technology and a focus on resilience-driven performance, Blue Health Vision is well positioned to play a meaningful role in the future of aquaculture health management under Hans den Bieman’s leadership.
